Directions to Make Cashew Chicken Recipe
Simply follow my easy steps to make this wonderful recipe Cashew Chicken at your home:
Step 1 – Preparation
First of all, make the sauce by just mixing the sauce ingredients so take a bowl and mix soy sauce and cornflour and stir to combine them till there are no lumps in the bowl.
Step 2 – Marination
Now take another bowl and add the chicken to it then put two tbsp of the sauce mixture and mix it with the chicken so that you coat the chicken completely after that set it aside for about 10 minutes.
Step 3 – Start Cooking
Get a wok or a skillet with a heavy base and put oil in it while keeping the high flame of the stove then add onion and garlic and cook them for about 1 minute.
Step 4 – Cook the Chicken
When the oil is warm add the following:
- Chicken – cook for about 2 minutes
- Fresh Capsicum – again cook for 1 minute more
- Water and Sauce – cook and bring it to a simmer, also make sure to stir while cooking. Cook it for about 1 minute more and be sure that the sauce is thick and feels just like honey.
- Cashews – when you add cashews, remove the pan from the stove, and here is your quick and tasty cashew chicken recipe.
Step 5 – Serve the Recipe
When you finish cooking, you can serve it immediately with rice but if you want healthy options for low-cal or low-carb you can choose cauliflower rice.

Storing Chinese Cashew Chicken
It is better to consume all the food while you prepare it because the cashews in this recipe become a little bit soggy if you have leftovers but there is no significant difference in the taste.
Storing – You can store this cashew chicken recipe in the fridge for up to four days but make sure the pot is airtight so the air cannot pass through it.
Heating – When you want to use it again, take it out from the fridge and simply put it in the microwave oven or you can flash fry in a pan over the stove also.
