Directions to Make Chicken and Lentil
Make this yummy, quick, and easiest chicken lentil recipe by following my simple guidelines to get the best results with a lot of proteins and nutrients.
Step 1
Get a skillet or a pan put it on the stove and set the heat to medium of the stove then add oil to the pan and put the chicken pieces in the skillet cook for about 5 minutes from each side or till the juices run clear and after 5 minutes take out the chicken from the skillet in a plate or any other pot and set it aside.
Step 2
Now add onions to the skillet or pan and cook them for about 5 minutes till they are tender then add garlic and carrot after a few minutes add lentils and broth and sprinkle salt as per taste then bring all the mixture to a boil and after boil lower the heat of the stove cover the pan with a lid or anything that seals the pot and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
Step 3
After 20 minutes of simmering the mixture of the lentils add back all the chicken pieces to the skillet again cover it and cook it for 20 minutes more without disturbing but make sure that during these extra 20 minutes of cooking don’t let the mixture dry you feel that it is drying then add a little water according to the need just to make the mixture moist.
Step 4
In the last step add tomato sauce to the skillet also add basil and rosemary and continue for 10 minutes or cook till the lentils are tender and ready add some lemon juice to increase the taste of the dish and your chicken and lentil recipe is ready to enjoy serve it hot and satisfy your tastebuds.
