How to Make Homemade Chicken Gravy Recipe

This easy recipe is a fun way to prepare and also very simple that you can easily make it without any problem. Just follow the simple steps mentioned ahead:

Prepare the Chicken

  • For this easy recipe, you must have all the ingredients for this recipe on a table.
  • You can cut the chicken breasts in half so that a thinner chicken is available to cook quickly.
  • Now you can season the chicken with spices like garlic powder, pepper, and salt. You can use your measurements according to your taste.

Make Chicken and Gravy

  •  For preparation of gravy firstly heat the big pan on medium heat then put 3 spoons of butter in this pan for melting.
  • When the butter melts then add 3 tablespoons of flour in butter and continuously stirring it until the butter and flour mix together and make a mixture.
  • Then mix chicken broth in this mixture and also sprinkle some salt, pepper, oregano, paprika, onion, and garlic powder in it and mix it well until all spices are mixed.
  • After mixing of species put chicken in the pan and press it well then pour gravy on the chicken.
  • Then cover the pan with a lid and lower the heat from medium to low flame. Cooked it for about 12-15 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes check fully cooked chicken and pull it from pan with 2 forks.

Tips for Healthy Chicken Gravy

  • You can use an internal meat temperature check thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken.
  • If you are using a nonstick pan shred the chicken outside the pan and be careful about using any utensils for shred that can damage its coating.

Can I Make Gravy Without Chicken Drippings?

This chicken gravy is easy to make with and without chicken drippings. If you are making it without dripping, then for extra flavor, you can add some more chicken broth along with chicken bouillon paste.

Chicken Gravy Recipe Without Flour

I recommend chicken gravy with flour or with roux (made with flour), which gives you a creamy, smooth, and rich gravy. But it is also possible to thicken the gravy without flour and there will be no need for roux as well.

Storing and Freezing Chicken Gravy
