Directions to Make Honey Sriracha Chicken
Following is the procedure to prepare this yummy treat for your family as a perfect meal:
Marinate
Take a big shallow bowl and add the following ingredients:
- Honey
- Sriracha
- Garlic
- Rice Wine Vinegar
- Soy Sauce
- Lime Juice
Mix all these ingredients to combine them well and when the mixture is ready take out about 4 spoons in a separate pot that we will use later as a dipping sauce cover the bowl and put it into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes but if you have more time you can increase this time to 2 hours.
Cooking
Get a cast iron skillet or a non-stick pan heat the oil in it and now sear the batches of chicken in it I usually put 3 thighs in each batch and cook the chicken until the skin of the thighs is golden brown and crispy and there is no pink in the middle of the chicken.
Two Variations
Now here you can choose from any one of the variations:
1st Variation – You can add the sauce that you put separately into the pan also stir it often and mix all the pan juices.
2nd Variation – To get a spicy result don’t add the sauce in the pan. But when the chicken is ready after cooking pour the reserved sauce on the chicken.
Serving
Now you can serve the honey sriracha chicken with sesame seeds, and lime wedges, garnish with green onions, and serve with noodles, rice, or veggies.
My chicken sliders recipe is a must-try that your family will love.
Note
I am using chicken thighs with the skin but if you don’t like the skin you can use chicken thighs without the skin. Another thing is that you can also use chicken breasts instead of thighs but thighs are more tender and juicy while the breasts are dry and make sure to slice the breasts very thin.
