Directions to Make Chicken Pitas
You can make pita chicken recipe easily with simple steps just follow them:
Step 1
Add the chicken pieces and try to make them even so they can cook easily from each side to a plastic bag then put the following and mix well to combine all of the ingredients with chicken:
- Oil
- Red Wine Vinegar
- Garlic Powder
- Paprika
- Oregano
- Salt
- Cayenne Pepper
And put the bag in the refrigerator overnight, but if you are short of time then make sure to marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours.
Step 2
This is a versatile chicken recipe therefore you can cook the chicken according to your choice or time like you can bake, grill, or air fry, I cook in the air fryer for about 14 minutes just make sure to set the temperature of the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook till the chicken temperature reaches 165 degrees.
Step 3
When the chicken is ready take it out from the air fryer and when it is able to handle then make its thin slices.
Step 4
On the other side take a bowl and make a dip, for this purpose just mix the following items:
- Yogurt
- Garlic
- Lemon Juice
- Salt
- Cucumber – it is better to grate
- Fresh Dill – if you like then add dill and chop it before use
After mixing all these items store the bowl in the fridge.
Step 5
When you want to eat just fill the pitas with the mixtures and top pitas with the sauce and serve pita chicken to enjoy.
