Directions

Here are a few steps you can follow to get perfection. I am writing about both methods. Grilling and roasting. You can choose one of them according to your easiness.

Marinate the Chicken

  • In this Carne Asada chicken recipe, marination is an important step. To marinate you can start by removing excess fat from the chicken. Put it in a bag to mix with marinade.
  • Get a big bowl. Place all the ingredients of marinade in it. Mix them well to combine all of them. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
  • Now massage the chicken with your hands. Make sure to coat all the chicken very well.
  • When you have a short time. Give one hour for marination. But marination for 4 hours will be the best. So that the chicken absorbs all the delicious flavors of the ingredients. It will provide you with a wonderful taste.

Grill the Chicken

  • Make a setup for indirect cooking. Heat the grill.
  • Get out the chicken from the marinade. Shake off excess marination. Discard the excess marinade.
  • Now put the chicken on the grill. Cook it for about 10 minutes. Then cook from the other side and grill for 20 minutes or until you feel that the chicken is cooked now.

Roast the Chicken

  • To roast the chicken. Set out your oven at 400 degrees F.
  • Get out the chicken from the marinade. Shake off excess marination. Discard the excess marinade.
  • Place the chicken on a tray or skillet. Put it in the oven.
  • Bake it for about 40 minutes or till the 175 degrees F temperature of the chicken.
  • Your Carne Asad Chicken (Pollo Asado) is ready. Serve it. Enjoy it.

  • In case you don’t have Mexican oregano. Regular oregano is good to go. There is not much difference.
