Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil, 
  • 2 onion, cut into cubes
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped or finely minced 
  • ½ gram of thinly sliced chicken thigh 
  • 1 cup of Chinese broccoli ( cut thinly)
  • 1 tomato, cut into cubes
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 tbsp of Thai soy sauce
  • 4tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1tsp of white pepper
  • cucumber slices
  • lime wedges (for serving)
  • 3 tbsp of fish sauce
  • 3 red chillies

How to cook Thai Chicken Fried Rice?

There are the following steps for cooking Thai Chicken Fried Rice if you follow them then you will prepare it;

Step 1

First, take a big bowl and mix fish sauce red chili white pepper, and black pepper in it then add lemon juice mix it well, and keep it aside for some time.

Step 2

Now take a big pan and heat some oil in it. As the oil is heated, then add onion and cook it for two to three minutes. Now add garlic and chicken and fry until the chicken is fully cooked. Add the Chinese broccoli and cook for more than two to three minutes.

Step 3

Now take a pan, add oil, and heat it, now add eggs and cook it for one to two minutes, then stir it with the help of a spatula until all the eggs are cooked completely. then take them aside.

Step 4

Now add the rice to the chicken mixture and add soy sauce, fish sauce, black pepper, white pepper, and sugar paste to it and stir it well until every grain of rice is cooked now this yummiest and most delightful dish is ready. Serve this fresh cucumber and lettuce with ketchup, and mayonnaise, and enjoy it with your family and loved ones. 

What Is the main difference between Thai Fried Rice and Chinese Fried Rice?

Chinese fried rice and Thai fried rice, are almost the same in both dishes egg,  fresh vegetables, chicken, protein, and sauces are used, but Thai fried rice is a little bit different from Chinese fried rice because of the addition of fish sauce and due to which the flavor is different from Chinese fried rice, sometimes lemon juice is also added which give it versatile taste like other Asian cuisines.

Tips

There are the following tips for making delicious and freshly fried rice.

  1. Always use a non-stick pan for frying vegetables as it uses less oil in the pan and the material cooks well with the pan. and stirs easily.
  2. Avoid putting too much material inside the pan. If you put too much stock into the rice inside the pan, It will spoil the rice and the rice will become lumpy.

If you cook this rice a day before put it in an airtight container keep it in the fridge and then add it to this spice the next day, it will give you a very tempting taste.

Variations

As we all know soy sauce is the most important ingredient used in fried rice, but in fried rice you use Thai fish instead of soy sauce. Any soy sauce or Chinese garlic sauce can also be used, but the taste of fish Thai sauce is not that of Chinese garlic sauce, So it will make a slight difference in the taste.
